







Far Northern Infrastructure Pty Ltd is the subsidiary which owns the land on which the Bio Precinct will be developed and will facilitate the supply of feedstock, electricity, steam and waste disposal services to the projects on the Bio Precinct.
Daintree Bio Enterprises Pty Ltd is the subsidiary which will enter into licensing / contractual arrangements with value adding companies.
The Board of Daintree Bio Precinct represents the cane grower organisations that process cane through the Mossman Mill, being Mossman CANEGROWERS, Tableland CANEGROWERS and Australian Cane Farmers Association.
Between them, the Board Directors have in excess of 100 years of experience of Sugarcane farming, Mill management, operations and administration and industry representation. Detailed professional biographies of each of the Directors & Chief Executive Officer of Daintree Bio Precinct are as follows:

Rajinder Singh was a Director of Tableland CANEGROWERS between 2004 and August 2019. He was also the Tableland CANEGROWERS representative of the Queensland CANEGROWERS Policy Council between 2005 and 2019. Rajinder was a valued member of the Queensland CANEGROWERS Board and Chair of the Economics and Trade Committee. He is the Deputy Chair of Daintree Bio Precinct Ltd.
Part of a family farming operation growing sugarcane on the Tableland and in the Mulgrave area, Rajinder has a lifetime of experience in the sugar industry. He has a Bachelor of Engineering from University of Queensland and a strong interest in research and development.
Rajinder has been researching value adding initiatives to create additional revenue streams for the Australian sugar industry for many years. Having travelled extensively to the United States, Rajinder has built relationships with companies using synthetic biology technologies which he well understands.
Don Murday is a fourth-generation cane farmer from Mossman. He has been an Australian Cane Farmers Association Northern Region Director since 2002 and was elected as the Board Chairman in 2010. Don is a Director of Daintree Bio Precinct Ltd.
Don completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors Diploma in 2001. Don is the managing director of Mango Park Cane Farming Company – a diversified enterprise farming papaya and cocoa along with his main regime of sugarcane. Don served as a Director of the grower-owned Mossman Central Mill from 2001 until its sale to Mackay Sugar Limited in 2013; and is President and a former player for the Port Douglas Rugby Union Club.
Don was the Managing Director of Garioch Harvesting from 1997 - 2013 Don attended Brisbane Grammar School and Qld Agricultural College in Gatton. Don is married to Debbie and they have three children.
Gerard Puglisi is a fourth-generation sugarcane Farmer and Pioneer of the Australian Cocoa Farming industry in Mossman. Gerard’s family business, Puglisi Farming has been farming in Mossman for over 100 years and was also the first farm in Mossman to obtain accreditation in the Australian Sugar Industries Best management practices “Smart Cane” Program.
Gerard is the current QSL Grower Representative Member for the Mossman Mill area and the founder and Officer in charge of the ACFA’s Next Generation program which aims to lead, encourage, and support younger Sugar Cane farmers into a more sustainable and profitable future.
Gerard is a Director of The Australian Canefarmers Association and a Director of Mossman Agricultural Services, a company which he also spent 9 years working for as a Field Officer.
Gerard is a qualified Boiler Maker, a trade which he acquired at the Mossman Mill and has managed the Mossman Mill’s Field and Transport Departments. Gerard has also worked for Mulgrave Mill as a Field Officer and BSES as a Field technician.
Bronwyn Dwyer is the Chief Executive Officer of Daintree Bio Precinct. Bronwyn was the Manager of Tableland CANEGROWERS Ltd between November 2005 and August 2019.
Bronwyn has a Bachelor of Science (Agriculture) as well as qualifications in Workplace Training and Assessment.
Bronwyn has extensive cane industry policy experience and has existing relationships with the growers supplying Mossman Mill.
Bronwyn’s experience in funding agreement management as well as her negotiation and management expertise will be invaluable in this role. Bronwyn has 2 young children and is active in her local community through Rotary, Scouts, Water Committees and sporting clubs.
Far Northern Milling Management Team
Luis was appointed to the position of General Manager in April 2023.
He has direct responsibility for all Mossman mill operations, including cane supply and transport logistics, factory operations, business improvement, capital, and maintenance projects.
Luis is an experienced Production Superintendent with a demonstrated history of working in the food & beverages industry. Strong operations professional skilled in Food Processing, Operations Management, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Food Science.
Tahni was appointed as Senior Financial Management accountant on 28th August 2019. She is responsible for Finance, IT Services and Procurement.
Tahni and her team perform the financial operations for the company ensuring statutory and contracted obligations are met. They provide the necessary financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders as well as dealing with financial institutions to manage daily transactions and borrowings, ensuring all compliance requirements are satisfied. They also source, negotiate, acquire, and supply the goods and services required by the business.
Tahni is a licensed Certified Practicing Accountant with 10+ years of experience both in Australia and overseas.
